The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Service continues to monitor the progress of Tropical Disturbance AL94. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The system has weakened further over the past 24 hours and is unlikely to develop into a tropical cyclone.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The limited weather associated with the system is forecast to pass mainly north of the area over the next 24 to 36 hours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on the latest information, the risk to life and property, in the Leeward Islands and the British Virgin Islands, from winds from this system, is very low; no action required.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The risk from rainfall is low, be aware; the risk from lightning and seas is medium, so be prepared. Be reminded that the hurricane season runs until November 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 2 PM ECT or 1800 UTC, Tropical Disturbance AL94 was centered about 245 miles east of Antigua and Barbuda and the Leeward Islands and moving west-northwest at about 20 mph. It is forecast to pass just north of the area on tomorrow.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph with higher gusts, mainly to the north of the center, away from the islands. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

There is a 20 percent chance of AL94 becoming a tropical depression in 48 hours and a 30 percent chance of it becoming a tropical depression in seven days; this is down from 60% in the last 48 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that there are no tropical cyclone alerts, watches or warnings in effect for the area and these are unlikely to be issued for this system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residents should continue to monitor and remain prepared for the hurricane season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next update will be around 3 PM tomorrow, or sooner if required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
