Mike Maura, Jr., Regional Director of Global Ports Holding (GPH) Americas, announced today the appointment of Gasper George as General Manager of Antigua Cruise Port. Mr. George, a native of Saint Lucia, also serves as Director of Operations and Product Development for Saint Lucia Cruise Port and GPH Eastern Caribbean. Since his appointment, he has been diligently preparing for the launch of exciting commercial expansion plans at the port, coinciding with the start of the 2024\/25 cruise season.<\/p>

Mr. Maura, Jr. emphasized the strategic significance of George\u2019s appointment at this pivotal time for the growth of Antigua Cruise Port. \u201cGasper’s expertise and commitment to excellence make him the ideal leader for this key position. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since joining GPH in late 2023, he has proven to be an invaluable asset to our team, significantly contributing to the development and launch of the Saint Lucia Cruise Port redevelopment project and other important regional initiatives. <\/p>

A dynamic and multifaceted professional, George brings a wealth of experience in stakeholder engagement, management, and business development. Prior to joining GPH, he served as Senior Manager of Business Development and Corporate Communications at the Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA). <\/p>

His extensive background includes roles in the private and public sectors, as well as service on key local tourism and industry boards. He is the Chairman of the Saint Lucia Community Tourism Agency and is a member of the Saint Lucia Hospitality & Tourism Association. Additionally, he has contributed to the Marketing and Communications Committee for Airport Council International \u2013 Latin America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
