YAHOO NEWS: A LARGE rowing boat believed to be used for crossing the Atlantic has washed ashore in\u00a0Bournemouth.<\/p>

The boat appears to be part of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, known as the world\u2019s toughest row.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, due to the recent stormy conditions out at sea, the boat washed up on Fisherman\u2019s Walk, Southbourne Beach.<\/p>

According to the marine tracking website Marine\u00a0Traffic, the boat is called Worst Case Scenario and its last position received was at Fisherman\u2019s Walk at around 10pm on Sunday, September 29.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Inside the open-top UK-registered rowing boat, there is a Co-op bag full of supplies and a loaf of bread stored in a compartment area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HM Coastguard’s spokesman said: “On Sunday 29 September at around 9.45am, HM Coastguard was made aware of reports of a beached ocean rowing vessel at Southbourne in Bournemouth.<\/p>

“Southbourne Coastguard Rescue Team were called to the scene, alongside RNLI Mudeford lifeboat and South Western Ambulance Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“All four persons aboard were recovered back to shore, and recovery of the vessel is currently being organised.”<\/p>

The next race of the Atlantic Challenge is due to take place on December 12.<\/p>
