Corporation were invited to the general meeting of the St. John\u2019s Taxi Association on October 25, 2018 to make a presentation to the body in relation to the new regulations for taxi operations in Heritage Quay ahead of the upcoming cruise tourism season.<\/p><div id=\"antig-1423953231\" class=\"antig-content_5 antig-entity-placement\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ablpag\" 100vw, 696px\" width=\"1000\" height=\"250\"   \/><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The new regulations were announced on October 19,2018 following key discussions with the executive body of the St. John\u2019s Taxi Association, who welcomed the proposed changes as it will allow the body to overcome challenges of parking and other issues that have hindered them from effectively plying their trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main focus of the general meeting was to sensitize the members of the St. John\u2019s Taxi Association of the upcoming changes and the plans for regularization of all taxi operations in Heritage Quay&nbsp;in an effort to curb the harassment of visitors.&nbsp;<\/p><div id=\"antig-2807964365\" class=\"antig-content_4 antig-entity-placement\"><a the&nbsp;St. John\u2019s Taxi Association who are the only taxi operators&nbsp;sanctioned to operate within Heritage Quay, welcomed the new regulations as they are often affected by persons from other 696px\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1124\"   \/><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms. Michael said suggestions were made by the taxi association members, to the ministry officials, which included Hon.
