ST. JOHN\u2019S, Antigua \u2013 (ABAVA) \u2013 <\/strong>sixteen teams have confirmed their participation in the upcoming ECVA Men and Women\u2019s Volleyball Championships slated for back to back weekends at the YMCA Volleyball Complex Antigua from 17th<\/sup> to 28th<\/sup> October 2024.<\/p>

The first weekend of games which runs from October 17th<\/sup> to 22nd<\/sup>, will feature the top female volleyballers from the region.  Reigning champions St. Lucia, as well as Bermuda, Anguilla, Sint Maarten and Grenada will join host Antigua & Barbuda to battle for the championship trophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Men\u2019s championship will run from October 23rd<\/sup> to 28th.  Host and defending champions, Antigua & Barbuda will be challenged for their title spot by Grenada, St. Lucia, Dominica, Saba, St. Eustatius, Sint Maarten, Anguilla, British Virgin Islands and Bermuda.<\/p>

 President of the ABAVA Mr. Wilbur Harrigan has confirmed that his Local Organising Committee is working tirelessly towards ensuring a smooth and successful hosting of the upcoming tournaments.  He further anticipates that level of games and competition will be at an all-time high, but is confident that both our teams will represent us with success and pride.   Harrigan, also pleaded for more support from corporate Antigua towards his association\u2019s viable staging of the event. <\/p>

Antigua & Barbuda\u2019s male and female teams have been in intense training for the last six weeks in preparation for the upcoming tournaments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
