On September 13th, 2024, The University of the West Indies (UWI) Five Islands Campus held its annual Matriculation Ceremony<\/strong>, a formal welcome to new students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event was a significant milestone, as the campus, which started with 176 students in 2019, now boasts an impressive enrolment of 1,100 students<\/strong>. <\/p>

The Five Islands Campus continues to grow and evolve, offering new programmes that meet the needs of the Eastern Caribbean<\/strong> in fields like Criminology, Health Care Management, Psychology, Pharmacy, Generative Pharmacy, Public Health, Sport Kinetics,<\/strong> and Sport Science<\/strong>.<\/p>

One of the great hallmarks of this new academic year is the welcoming of our first-ever cohort of MPhil\/PhD students<\/strong>\u201419 research candidates embarking on advanced academic journeys. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This marks a turning point for the Five Islands Campus as we build a thriving research culture<\/strong> in Antigua and Barbuda<\/strong> and the wider Caribbean. Through this commitment to research, UWI aims to drive meaningful development and progress in the region.<\/p>
