Lands Minister Maria Browne says her Ministry wants an amicable solution to growing concerns over beach access in the country.<\/p>

Browne says measures are already being put in place to make good on a Cabinet decision to make beach access stronger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She says her ministry is working with land owner near the beach to “enable access for all.”<\/p>

Browne says easements are being identified so that residents can access the beaches “at all times.”<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The minister says easements must be “accessible and clearly marked” so residents know exactly where the access points are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The beach access is number one on our list at the ministry,” Browne added.<\/p>

She says any discussion on beach access must be amicable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residents have been expressing concern that increasingly, more and more fences are being erected at the entrance of beaches.<\/p>

The government also intends to look at the law governing beach access in the country.<\/p>
