Met Office: Lightning already visible to the north and east of Antigua. Showers have begun across portions of Antigua and will continue.<\/p>

Rainfall is expected to be heavy at times with thunderstorms and strong gusty winds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will continue to monitor the progress of what’s left of AL94 as it traverses the Islands this morning.<\/p>

Forecaster Dale Destin said: #TropicalDisturbance_AL94<\/a> has grown in size; however, the chance of forming into a #TropicalCyclone<\/a> remains very low, 20%. The system should clear most of the area in a few hours. <\/p>

Satellite-derived wind data from several hours ago indicate that a small area of low pressure located less than one hundred miles east of the northern Leeward Islands has degenerated into a surface trough.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Environmental conditions, including the proximity of dry air, do not favor development of this system while it moves west-northwestward at about 15 mph. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regardless of development, locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds are possible across the northern Leeward Islands today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
