Former prison officer Dwight Rodney Peters of Ovals has been remanded to His Majesty\u2019s Prison on a murder charge, accused of killing inmate Ricknaldo Isaac from Bendals.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Peters is represented by Attorney Wayne Benjamin Marsh, who told Antigua.news that he plans to seek alternative holding arrangements for his client and will also pursue bail in the High Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The case has been adjourned until November 25, with Acting Chief Magistrate Dexter Wason presiding. Several of Peters’ former colleagues attended the hearing in a show of support.<\/p>

Tensions flared later, when Isaac\u2019s father expressed satisfaction with the proceedings.<\/p>

Isaac, 26, suffered fatal injuries during an earlier incident at His Majesty\u2019s Prison, where he was allegedly slammed to the ground by Peters. He passed away in May and was laid to rest just last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
