The Barbados Royals opened their Caribbean Premier League campaign with a decisive nine-wicket win over the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons on Sunday at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium.<\/p>

Quinton de Kock and Rahkeem Cornwall led the charge with an 80-run opening partnership, putting the struggling Falcons, who have now lost three consecutive games, on the back foot. Cornwall was dismissed for 34, the only wicket to fall, while de Kock dominated with an unbeaten 87, earning him the Man of the Match title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite a solid 48 from Jewel Andrew, the Falcons were restricted to 145 for nine in their 20 overs. Andrew’s aggressive play, including 16 runs off a single Naveen-ul-Haq over, provided a brief spark, but the Royals’ bowlers, led by Obed McCoy with three wickets, quickly regained control.<\/p>
