The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is monitoring two tropical disturbances. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The first is a tropical wave near the Lesser Antilles, currently producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While little development is expected as it moves westward through the eastern Caribbean Sea, conditions are expected to improve later in the week as it moves into the central and western Caribbean. <\/p>

\"\"<\/div>\n\n\n\n

There’s a 40% chance of it developing into a tropical depression within the next seven days, though the chance is near zero in the next 48 hours. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Today, this system could bring gusty winds and heavy rainfall to parts of the Lesser Antilles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second disturbance is a tropical wave near the west coast of Africa, which is generating a large area of showers and thunderstorms. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

This system is moving slowly west-northwestward over the eastern tropical Atlantic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While development is unlikely in the next 48 hours (10% chance), there’s a 40% chance of it forming into a tropical depression over the next seven days as conditions become more favorable.<\/p>
