The Antigua Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association is pleased to announce its hosting of the 2024 ECVA male and female volleyball championships on back to back weekends commencing from 17th<\/sup> to 20th<\/sup> October with the women, followed by the males from 24th <\/sup>to 27th<\/sup> October.\u00a0<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

It is anticipated that a minimum of nine (9) countries will travel to Antigua to participate in both the male and female competitions.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tournaments which are expected to provide great entertainment as a result of the high level of volleyball that will be on display, will feature defending female champions St. Lucia and hosts and defending male champions Antigua & Barbuda.\u00a0<\/p>

Regarding the above, the ABAVA selected a squad of 18 females and 22 males that has begun training in preparation for the upcoming championships.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

The national female team which will be prepared by coach Olson Joseph, with assistance from Jacqueline Ladoo, Dairyllis Cruz-Perez and Ismay Caraballo includes \u00a0SETTERS<\/strong> \u2013 Allisha Jno Baptiste, Anjelina Morris-Silston, Jaya Carr, Elizabeth Smith and Naveah Robertson, OUTSIDE\/OPPOSITE HITTERS<\/strong> – Alliyah Smith, Jassania Joseph, Josanne Lewis, Zellene Edwards, Sharon Tessa Payne, Tia Walker, Jahzara Donovan, Nashea Browne, MIDDLE BLOCKERS<\/strong> \u2013 Mali Nyota Peters, Rayana Regis, Kwansia Carr, Alexis Tomlinson and Rihanna Browne and LIBEROS<\/strong> \u2013 Sharifa Simmons and Rosemarie Simon.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
