Prime Minister Gaston Browne announced today that the government has ordered a new vessel to bolster the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) Coastguard’s efforts in surveillance and crime fighting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The vessel, outfitted with state-of-the-art technology, marks a significant step in the nation’s commitment to combating criminal activities, particularly the smuggling of guns, ammunition, and other contraband.<\/p>

The vessel will be powered by three V10 Mercury engines and will feature advanced equipment, including night vision cameras, radar, an enhanced navigational system, police sirens, lights, and machine gun mounts.
