The Antigua and Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association (ABHTA) proudly congratulates Anthea Watkins on her acceptance into the prestigious Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) training programme. ‘Ms. Watkins will participate in the course titled\u00a0Human Resource Development for Creating Tourism Destination for Sustainable Tourism – Transforming Tourism Destination,<\/em>\u00a0which will be held in Japan from August 26 to September 20, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This training, facilitated by JICA, is a significant milestone for Ms. Watkins and by extension, the ABHTA. As a professional dedicated to the growth and development of Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s tourism sector, Ms. Watkins is expected to gain invaluable insights and strategies that align with sustainable tourism practices.<\/p>

Reflecting on her upcoming participation, Ms. Watkins shared, “I am truly honoured to be selected for this transformative opportunity.
