alleviate excessive flooding whenever there is heavy rainfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through an initiative of the National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) with funding from the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) and Global Affairs Canada, a bridge is being re-constructed to accommodate a larger volume of water and hence reduce the level of flooding that occurs District experienced the most reported impacts and property damage.
