The United Progressive Party confirms that it has received the resignation of MP Anthony Smith, Jr., parliamentary representative of All Saints West (ASW).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This action, admittedly, took the Executive, Branch, and Party supporters by surprise, and we recognize the distress it has caused to those who put their confidence and trust in MP Smith and his representation.<\/p>

The process for selecting Caretakers and Candidates for the next election is already underway and will be followed through expeditiously \u2013 but very carefully \u2013 in the interest of the People we serve and the Party.<\/p>
