With over 200 house fires recorded this year, Parker stressed the need for increased community education. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that many fires could have been prevented through better fire safety practices and awareness. <\/p>

“We call on homeowners to be vigilant, especially with children at home. Negligence is a major cause of these fires,” Parker said.<\/p>

The Fire Department is actively conducting educational programs in schools to promote fire prevention. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parker also acknowledged the challenges faced by the All Saints Fire Department, responsible for covering the eastern side of the island due to the absence of a local fire station. <\/p>
