With the recent impact of Hurricane Beryl on the region, the Office of the Minister of Education, Sports, and Creative Industries, under the leadership of Hon. Daryll S. Matthew, is urgently addressing the safety and well-being of Antiguan and Barbudan students in Jamaica, particularly those at the University of Technology (Utech), UWI Mona, and Edna Manley Campuses of the University of the West Indies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The well-being and security of our students who are engaged in their studies in Jamaica is of utmost importance. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Minister Matthew is actively communicating with the Jamaican authorities to ensure all necessary precautions are taken to protect our students during this difficult period. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We wish to reassure the families and loved ones of the students that we are closely monitoring the situation closely to evaluate their condition and provide the needed support.<\/p>

The Minister will provide a plan of action and the necessary assistance to the students as soon as we are able to make direct contact and understand their specific situations and requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
