The family of Mannie James, a well-known Jetski operator fatally shot by law enforcement, has hired attorney Leon Chaku Syimster.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

According to Observer radio, Syimster plans to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the Police and Defence Force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

James was buried last Thursday after losing his life during a confrontation with police and Defence Force officers. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The incident began when James refused to stop during a routine check, resulting in a high-speed chase. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officers claim they were fired upon and returned fire. <\/p>

James abandoned his vehicle in Gray’s Farm and was fatally shot shortly after, in front of local residents and his two young children. No weapon was found on him or in his vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
