NBC- Nicki Minaj was released from custody Saturday hours after she was arrested by police in the Netherlands on suspicion of exporting soft drugs, authorities said.<\/p>

The rapper was fined and allowed to \u201ccontinue her journey,\u201d police said in a translated post on X just before 4 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minaj, 41, was traveling to Manchester, England, from Amsterdam for a concert on her \u201cPink Friday 2 World Tour\u201d when she was arrested. Minaj, whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, was scheduled to perform at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester on Saturday night but it was postponed, Live Nation UK said in an update.<\/p>

Tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled concert, the company said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police have not identified the name of the person arrested, but when asked if it was Minaj, a spokesperson said officers had \u201carrested a 41-year-old American woman at Schiphol Airport because of possession of soft drugs.<\/p>

In a social media post early Sunday local time<\/a>, Minaj said she arrived at her hotel in Manchester a little more than an hour ago. \u201cAfter sitting in a jail cell for 5-6 hours, my plane still didn\u2019t take off for another 20 mins once I boarded\u201d the 50-minute flight from Amsterdam, she wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPlease please please accept my deepest & most sincere apologies,\u201d Minaj wrote. \u201cThey sure did know exactly how to hurt me today but this too, shall pass.\u201d<\/p>

The rapper said she hopes to be able to share the rescheduled date for Saturday\u2019s show on Sunday, and that she and her team are considering one option in June and another in July.<\/p>

She confirmed she\u2019d still be performing the second show in Manchester on Thursday, and that she will still go on in Birmingham on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ll find a way to not only make up the date with the performance but I\u2019m going to create an added bonus for everyone that had a tkt for this show. Promise,\u201d Minaj said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier on Saturday, Minaj had shared numerous posts on social media detailing the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In one video<\/a> she shared on X, the rapper is seen being told that her luggage needs to be searched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m so sorry to say that,\u201d a man at the airport tells her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut isn\u2019t that what you planned on doing from the get-go? Why didn\u2019t you guys search it before it went on the plane,\u201d she responds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man says they did a \u201crandom quick check\u201d but need to open the luggage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In subsequent posts, Minaj said she believed people were trying to \u201cstop this tour\u201d and were lying to her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey took my luggage & when I asked where it is they said it\u2019s on the plane. It couldn\u2019t have been, I just pulled up,\u201d she said. \u201cI never gave them my bags. They\u2019re refusing to let me see my own bags.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In another post, she wrote: \u201cThey\u2019re being paid big money to try to sabotage my tour b\/c soooooo many ppl are mad that it\u2019s this successful & they can\u2019t eat off me. They got caught stealing money from my travel\/jets. Got fired. Got mad. Etc.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minaj said in the Sunday social media post<\/a> she has video evidence of the encounter and she\u2019ll \u201chave the lawyers & GOD take it from here tho.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During an Instagram Live, Minaj filmed police as they told her to get inside a van so she could be taken to the police station. In a post on X, the rapper said she was being told she had to \u201cgo 5 mins away to make a statement about my security to the police precinct.\u201d<\/p>\n
