The Ministry of Social\nTransformation, Human Resource Development, Youth Affairs and Gender Affairs,\nin collaboration with Deeds Driven Dads and with support from the Ministry of\nEducation, has held its first annual \u201cDad\u2019s Take Your Child To School Day\u201d at\nthe TN Kirnon Primary School on Tuesday 18th<\/sup> September 2018. \u00a0<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cDad\u2019s Take Your Child To\nSchool Day\u201d is part of a worldwide initiative involving over 1,000 schools, to\nensure that fathers are involved in the day to day lives of their children and\ncan make a significant positive impact on the lives of their families. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over 35 men, including fathers,\nstepfathers, and grandfathers took part in the event, where they were given the\nopportunity to share in positive news about their children and families, took\npart in several motivational exercises, and well as were informed and\nencouraged to be involved in various upcoming activities and events at the TN\nKirnon Primary School. <\/p>

The crowd at the TN Kirnon\nPrimary School was addressed by the Permanent Secretary within the Ministry of\nSocial Transformation, Ms. Sandra Joseph, the Principal of the TN Kirnon\nPrimary School, Mrs. Hyacinth Gonsalves-Barreiro, Mr. Daryl George from the\nMinistry of Social Transformation, and Mr. Stevan Lynn of Deeds Driven Dads. <\/p>

This initiative is part of a\nlarger programme to improve the personal development of fathers and future\nfathers to become agents of positive social change in their families and\ncommunities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
