O.S.A Wellness Fitness Challenge 2024: A Marathon of Determination and Triumph<\/strong><\/p>

On Whit Monday, O.S.A (Overcome Struggles Always) Wellness held its 3rd annual Fitness Challenge, featuring a half marathon starting and ending at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nearly 100 athletes took up the challenge, vying for one of the 40 prizes up for grabs. Despite the route closing after three hours, many participants were determined to complete the challenge, showcasing their commendable perseverance.<\/p>

Athletes from various establishments across the island, including AUA, Antigua Barbuda Defense Force, Unicomer, Curtain Bluff, Torturer Gym, and FIFA, participated in the event. <\/p>

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The defending champion, Ken Pennyfether, settled for second place as he was outmatched by the determined AUA instructor Vernon Lindsay PhD, who emerged as the OSA Wellness Champion 2024. Wasnah Bernarde secured third place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the female category, Nikisha Gage retained her championship title, remaining unbeaten for the past two years. <\/p>

Yolanda Joseph finished in second place, and Kevina Francis came in third. In the under-17 category, 12-year-old Malique Isaac was the winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the female walking category, Sharon Henry of Torturer Gym claimed victory, followed by Malverine Williams in second place and Orlando Small in third. In the male walking category, Tiyarni Mullian was the winner, with Casford Pelle in second place and Andre Brown in third.<\/p>

The largest group participation award went to Torturer Street Hiker with 20 strong participants, followed by Curtain Bluff with 13 participants and Unicomer with 9 participants. Shaquille Sylvester won the cash prize as the weightiest athlete to complete the challenge.<\/p>
