The meeting was chaired by Chittagong Chamber President Omar Hazzaz.<\/p>\n

Addressing the meeting, Everly Pal Chet Green said, Bangladesh is one of the fastest growing economies in the world. \u00a0We will soon launch a mission to build bilateral and trade relations with Bangladesh.<\/p>

Antigua and Barbuda has a thriving tourism and fisheries sector. \u00a0Also, various agricultural products including refined petroleum, soybeans and sugarcane are produced here.<\/p>

He said Antigua and Barbuda have strong passports. \u00a0Passport holders can easily go to 160 countries of the world. \u00a0Also there are hassle free investment facilities. \u00a0Investors have easy access to countries including the United Kingdom and North and South America. \u00a0 Therefore, he called upon the businessmen of Bangladesh to consider these benefits and invest.<\/p>\n

Chamber Director Mahfuzul Haque Shah, Mohammad Akhtar Parvez, Mohammad Monir Uddin, Akhtar Uddin Mahmud, Omar Muktadir, Delegation Investment Unit Chief Executive Officer Charmaine Donovan, Immigration Chairman-Director E Casroy James, Juliette Janille Marcell and PHP Group Director Md Zahirul Islam spoke.<\/p>

Md. Ahid Siraj Chowdhury (Swapan), Anjan Shekhar Dash, Benazir Chowdhury Nishan and Mohammad Adnanul Islam were present at this time.<\/p>\n

Chamber president Omar Hazzaz said, Chittagong region has become an attractive investment destination through significant infrastructure development under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.<\/p>

The image of Bangladesh is spreading in the outside world in manufacturing and textile sector. \u00a0Bangladeshi businessmen make clothes of famous brands in the world. \u00a0Also, Bangladesh is the 14th largest food producing country in the world.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Bangladesh is among the top 10 countries in the world in the production of 22 agricultural products. \u00a0Still, Bangladesh imports spices including soybeans and ‘raw’ sugar from various countries, especially Latin regions.<\/p>\n

He said, Bangladesh is a huge market of about 18 crore people. \u00a0Bangabandhu Sheikh MujibShilpa Nagar, the country’s largest specialized economic zone located in Chittagong and the world’s longest beach Cox’s Bazar, called on the businessmen of Antigua and Barbuda to invest in the tourism sector, using the various benefits provided by the government for investment.<\/p>\n
