Integrated Health Outreach announces an exciting, fully funded opportunity to study collaborative social accountability and biodiversity conservation<\/strong><\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Eager learners with an interest in the environment and biodiversity have the opportunity to register for an online course that will provide a certification in collaborative social accountability and biodiversity conservation<\/strong>. Participation in the course will be cost-free to approved students through fully-funded scholarships.<\/p>\n

The opportunity is being made possible through a partnership between Integrated Health Outreach Inc. (IHO)<\/strong> and the prestigious Santo Domingo Institute for Technology (INTEC), endorsed by the World Bank (WB)<\/strong> with support from the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF)<\/strong> and the World Bank\u2019s Global Partnership for Social Accountability (GPSA)<\/strong>.<\/p>

The course is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to make a difference in biodiversity conservation. In a world facing unprecedented environmental challenges, biodiversity conservation has never been more crucial, and this comprehensive online certification program will delve into the importance of collaborative social accountability in safeguarding our region\u2019s precious ecosystems.<\/p>

IHO Executive Director, Dr. Nicola Bird, states, \u201cWe are truly elated to be able to announce this opportunity, especially against the backdrop of the challenges small island developing states [SIDS] are facing in tackling climate change and its impacts. Biodiversity conservation is more vital than ever before. Through programmes like these, we at IHO are fulfilling our aim of helping to sustain our environment and the wellbeing of communities.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The scholarships are funded by the CEPF and the GPSA. Both organizations\u2019 dedication to environmental stewardship and social responsibility has paved the way for this incredible opportunity. CEPF is a joint biodiversity conservation initiative of the French Development Agency, Conservation International, the European Union, the Global Environment Facility, the Government of Japan, and the World Bank. The GPSA, which is a department within the World Bank, facilitates the collaboration of civil society organizations with governments, and engagement of citizens to solve development problems, strengthen accountability, and improve sector governance.<\/p>
