Prime Minister Gaston Browne responded to Opposition Leader Jamale Pringle’s inquiry regarding the government’s assessment of the well-being of Antigua and Barbuda’s citizens with a strong affirmation of the country’s positive trajectory.<\/p>\n

Browne emphasized that Antigua and Barbuda is doing notably well compared to previous years, attributing this success to the resilience and efforts of its people.<\/p>

Browne stated unequivocally, “The people of Antigua and Barbuda are doing significantly better than four years ago.”<\/p>

He backed this assertion by referencing the United Nations’ recent Human Development Index, which ranked Antigua and Barbuda as having a high level of development, second only to St. Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean region.<\/p>\n

Browne highlighted this achievement as a testament to the progress and prosperity experienced by the nation.<\/p>

In addressing concerns raised by the opposition regarding ongoing challenges, Browne acknowledged, “There are still pockets of people who are struggling.”<\/p>\n
