SOURCE REAL NEWS<\/strong>– Three government-run institutions, including two schools, were the
\ntargets of thieves over a\u00a048-hour period.<\/p>

Reports say the principal of the Charlesworth T. Samuel Primary
\nSchool, in John Hughes, telephoned the All Saints Police Station and
\ncomplained that a number of classrooms and her office area had
\nbeen broken into, and a number of tablets and cash were stolen
\nfrom the office.<\/p>\n

Further reports say the intruder had apparently gained access to the
\noffice by using a prying implement to pluck out two wooden louvre
\npanes from a southern window.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Having done so, the person entered the office and stole four Velkk
\npen tablets and an undisclosed sum of Eastern Caribbean currency
\nnotes and a quantity of coins.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

It is alleged that the intruder then went through a northern shutter-
\nwindow, which was closed but not locked, and accessed several
\nclassrooms, which he ransacked.<\/p>\n

This offence reportedly occurred between 3:30 p.m. on March 22
\nand 7:15 a.m. on March 25.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Meanwhile, the principal of Buckleys Primary School made a report
\nto the All Saints Police Station that four classrooms had been broken
\ninto and $25 in cash stolen.<\/p>\n

This offence reportedly occurred between 4 p.m. on March 22 and 7
\na.m. on March 25.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Entry into the classrooms was gained through a western wooden
\nwindow, which, apparently, was closed but not locked.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Allegedly, the intruder opened the window, unlawfully entered, and
\nransacked the Grades One, Two, Four and Five classrooms.
\nThe money that was stolen was inside a drawer in the Grade Two
\nclassroom.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, the Boys Training School was also the target of
\nthieves on the weekend.<\/p>\n

Reports say that Captain Bernard Duplessis, who manages the
\nWillikies facility, telephoned the Willikies Police Station and
\nreported that the dormitory building had been broken into between
\n1 p.m. on March 21 and 10 a.m. on March 25 and a number of
\nelectronic items had been stolen.<\/p>\n

When the Police visited the scene to conduct investigations, the
\ncaptain showed them a recreation room where several electrical
\nappliances, among other things, had been kept.<\/p>\n

Apparently, Duplessis had secured the room, leaving two
\nrefrigerators, four microwaves, and four televisions set inside.
\nHowever, upon his return, he discovered they were missing.<\/p>\n

It is alleged that the intruders had used a hard implement to force
\nopen the door to the recreation room and, having done, so stole the
\nitems.<\/p>\n

Allegations are that the perpetrators also attempted to pry open a
\nwestern sliding window in order to remove a burglar bar.<\/p>\n

A search was carried out in the surrounding areas for the electronic
\nitems but without success.<\/p>\n
