A man was quickly taken to Sir Lester Medical Centre on Sunday afternoon following an alleged shooting near the Public Market in St. John\u2019s.<\/p>

Reports indicate that two men were involved in an altercation, during which one of them allegedly retrieved a firearm from his car and shot the other in the mouth.<\/p>\n

The shooter then fled in his vehicle.<\/p>

A video circulating shows the injured man with blood from his mouth, being comforted by another person. His current condition is unknown.<\/p>

Shortly after, the police swiftly apprehended the suspect, who is now in custody and will undergo questioning before facing charges.<\/p>\n

The victim is receiving medical treatment at the hospital.<\/p>
