Reports say that the woman, a United States citizen staying at the Barrymore Beach Apartments, went to the Criminal Investigations Department and complained that an unknown man had damaged her rented silver Toyota Rav 4 while she was on Redcliffe Street.<\/p>\n

On the day of the incident, she had parked the vehicle \u2013 rented from Hertz \u2013 on that street.<\/p>

While there, an unknown man \u2013 said to be about 6 feet in height, dark in complexion, and wearing a black shirt \u2013 tried to extort money from her.<\/p>

When she refused to give in to his demands, the man allegedly damaged the right fender and quarter panel of the vehicle with his foot.<\/p>\n

Officers conducted a search for a suspect fitting the description but without success.<\/p>
