Reports say the deputy principal of the Villa Primary School telephoned the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and complained that the school had been broken into and several items taken.<\/p>\n

This offence reportedly occurred between 6 a.m. on March 16 and 6:15 a.m. on March 17.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/div>\n

Further reports say the principal had secured her office by closing and locking the door; however, upon her return, she observed that her office had been damaged and the electronic items were missing.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Reportedly the intruders had gained entry by cutting through a portion of a western door. They then used force to break it down, entered, and removed the items.<\/p>\n

A search for these things, carried out in the immediate and surrounding areas, yielded no success.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

When this type of offence had been more prevalent last year (2023), the Government promised to install surveillance cameras in schools across the island.<\/p>\n

However, this appears not to have been realized, as thieves seem to be making schools their target once again.<\/p>
