**Prime Minister Gaston Browne Criticizes UPP Leadership Race and Treatment of Jamale Pringle**<\/p>

Prime Minister Gaston Browne has expressed strong criticism of the leadership race within the opposition United Progressive Party (UPP) and the treatment of Jamale Pringle, a key figure in the party’s ranks.<\/p>\n

Browne highlighted his astonishment at the UPP’s approach to the leadership race, particularly in sidelining Pringle, who has served as the sole parliamentarian leader of the opposition.<\/p>

He expressed disappointment at the lack of respect and gratitude shown towards Pringle, stating, “It is one of the biggest betrayals ever in the history of our politics.”<\/p>\n

“Here you have Pringle serving as the sole parliamentarian, leader of the opposition, and that is the respect you show to a man who has been the lone standard bearer in the parliament for the UPP.”<\/p>

The Prime Minister accused the UPP of clandestinely orchestrating moves to circumvent processes and undermine Pringle’s position.<\/p>\n

He criticized the party for not consulting with constituents or informing Pringle properly about their decisions, leading to a lack of transparency and trust.<\/p>

Browne remarked, “you didn’t have the decency to inform him you didn’t go to your constituents to consult you’re clandestinely got together did this letter to circumvent the process.”<\/p>

Furthermore, Browne pointed out the attempts to create an impression that Pringle’s leadership is unwanted, citing maneuvers to promote Richard Lewis as part of this agenda.<\/p>\n

He drew a parallel between the internal dynamics of the UPP and the historical narrative of Brutus and Caesar, implying a sense of betrayal and backstabbing within the party’s ranks. Browne stated, “in fact Richard Lewis is part of it too he’s he he you know the story there with Brutus and um Caesar.”<\/p>\n

Browne also shared insights into his efforts to mentor Pringle and encourage his development within the opposition.<\/p>\n

He highlighted the importance of building capacity through education and training, emphasizing the need for competence and integrity in leadership roles. Browne remarked, “I said to him within the up they have this tendency just to curse people to tear down people and not to build any capacity.”<\/p>\n

Browne warned of the repercussions of such internal strife and betrayal, questioning how Pringle could trust those who had undermined and decimated him within the party. He called for a more honorable and transparent approach to leadership transitions within political parties to avoid damaging trust and credibility.<\/p>\n

Browne stated, “how can Pringle trust those guys who literally be are well they beheaded him already as you say he’s a dead man yeah but just in case that he not necessarily dead but he dying and he survives MH how is Pringle going to trust those guys again can’t trust them.”<\/p>\n
