Source: Real News Antigua:<\/strong> A Jennings farmer is the latest victim of praedial larceny, an offence that reportedly is on the increase in the southwest of the island.<\/p>

Reports say the Jennings villager went to the Johnsons Point Police Station and reported that some unknown person had gone into his farm and stolen a portion of young dwarf coconut trees and a quantity of lemons and oranges from trees on his Christian Valley
\nallotment.<\/p>\n

This offence reportedly occurred between 12 p.m. on March 7 and 8 a.m. on March 10.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Reports say the 61-year-old farmer secured his property with a wire fence on the dates in question, and, upon his return three days later, discovered that a quantity of his produce had been stolen.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Allegedly the intruder had used a sharp object to uproot eight of the coconut trees, valued at $60 each.<\/p>\n

The perpetrator also entered the back of the property, where the orange and lemon trees are planted, and stole a quantity of the fruits.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Reports say the oranges are valued at $5 for two and the lemons at five for $5.<\/p>\n

A search was carried out for the stolen items but without success. Inquiries into this incident are continuing.<\/p>
