MoE convenes public discourse on Mathematics<\/u><\/strong><\/p>

Antigua and Barbuda \u2013<\/strong>A public discussion, \u2018The Heart of the Matter\u2019 organised by the Ministry of Education, Sports and Creative Industries, will be held on Thursday to discuss various aspects of mathematics education, with an aim of enhancing what currently exists.<\/p>\n

Mathematics results for students at the primary and secondary school levels are concerning for education officials, who have taken steps to improve the subject area, in order to yield satisfactory outcomes.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

In addition to the remedial work being carried out with students and new and improved approaches being adopted, the Ministry of Education, Sports and Creative Industries is also engaging key stakeholders, the latest being Thursday\u2019s forum.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

\u201cThis conversation aims to address the challenges faced by students, identify effective strategies, and foster collaboration among stakeholders to enhance Mathematics education in our country,\u201d said Shoya Hurst, Acting Education Officer, Curriculum Mathematics.<\/p>\n

The event will be held at the Sir John E. St. Luce Finance & Conference Centre, commencing at 5 p.m on Thursday 14th<\/sup> March, 2024.<\/p>
