Pearl Quinn Withdraws from UPP Leadership Race, Richard Lewis secures Rural North Nomination<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pearl Quinn, the United Progressive Party’s (UPP) caretaker for Rural North, has announced the withdrawal of her candidacy bid for political leader.<\/p>

Quinn, who was vying for the leadership position alongside Richard Lewis and Jamale Pringle, revealed that she did not receive the support of the branch, leading to her decision to abort her bid.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

In a message to party members, Quinn stated, “Please note my candidacy bid for political leader has been aborted, since I did not receive the support of the branch.<\/p>\n

“Many thanks to those who supported me.”<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Despite the setback, Quinn-Williams expressed gratitude to her supporters and assured them that she would throw her support behind whoever emerges as the leader.<\/p>\n

Quinn’s decision comes after Richard Lewis secured the nomination from the Rural North branch, further solidifying his position as a frontrunner in the UPP leadership race.<\/p>

With Quinn withdrawing from the race, the competition for the UPP leadership is now primarily between Lewis and Jamale Pringle.<\/p>
