The Honourable Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, and His Excellency Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil took further steps to strengthen relations between the two nations through the signing of an Air Service Agreement.<\/p>

The Agreement will pave the way for further economic cooperation between the two countries through trade and investment.<\/p>\n

President Lula also used the opportunity to announce that Brazil will reopen its Embassy in Antigua and Barbuda, solidifying a commitment to deepening relations between St. John\u2019s and Bras\u00edlia. The news of the reopening of the Brazilian Embassy was welcomed by Prime Minister Browne who mentioned that Antigua and Barbuda would be seeking to establish a presence in Brazil.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Browne also used the occasion to request support for and extended an invitation to Brazil to attend the upcoming 4th International Conference on Small Island Developing States to be held in Antigua and Barbuda from 27 to 30 May, 2024<\/p>
