Kendra Beazer has made history by becoming the first person from Barbuda to attend the University of Oxford.<\/strong><\/p>

\"\"<\/div>\n

Kendra Beazer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management – International Business from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus, as well as a Master of Arts degree in Environmental Policy from Lehigh University.<\/p>\n

In 2017, Mr. Beazer was elected to the Barbuda Council with the highest number of votes in the history of Barbuda Council elections.<\/p>

\"\"<\/div>\n

During his tenure, he served as the youngest elected member, Chairman of Agriculture Lands Fisheries and Coastal Protection from 2018 to 2020, and Chairman of Utilities and Energy from 2020 to 2021.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

In 2019, Mr. Beazer was recognized by One Young World with the Mary Robinson Climate Justice Award, becoming the first person from Antigua and Barbuda, and the OECS to win this award.<\/p>\n

Additionally, he participated in the U.S. State Department\u2019s International Visitor Leadership Program in 2019 under the theme of accountability and transparency in government.<\/p>

Currently, he is the founder and Director of the Barbuda Now Foundation. For the next two years, he will be pursuing an MSc in Sustainable Urban Development at the University of Oxford Department for Continuing Education.
