Through natural causes, a veteran law enforcer, \u2018John Pelle 61, has been transitioned to \u00a0eternal rest. That which shall be remembered are; (i) \u2018He was born for a purpose; (ii) He lived for one purpose; Faithfully served that purpose; and (iii) Undeniably and untiringly, he died serving that purpose.\u2019 That \u2018purpose\u2019 was \u2018Law Enforcement.\u2019 Shackled to the rank of \u2018Senior Sergeant,\u2019 he saw the incompetent become his superiors and supervisors. DEVOTION TO DUTY<\/p>

These discussions, extended to the wider society, focused, not only on the loyalty, \u2018Devotion to Duty\u2019 and commitment to the \u2018Police Service,\u2019 of (i) \u2018Corporal Clifton Common; and (ii) Senior Sergeant John Pelle, but also their achievements during their \u2018Law enforcement\u2019 career. While these noble officers remained in those ranks, and served until their demise, given;\u00a0 (a) \u2018The intervening environmental influences; (b) Organizational behavior; and (c) Attitude of the \u2018Police Service Commission (PSC),\u2019 the deceased had no way of escaping their \u2018Victimizing Wrath\u2019 of certain members on the \u2018Commission.\u2019<\/p>

PERSPECTIVE<\/p>\n

This commentary speaks to the horrible experiences of; (i) \u2018Inspector Raymond Kirwan 60 [Service:1976 – 2017]; (ii) Corporal Clifton Common 51 [1992-2021]; (iii) and Senior Sergeant John Pelle 61 [Service:1980-2024],\u2019 Some information, factual, but might be distressing. This is the juncture, where this paragraph has been dedicated to \u2018former Commissioner of Police, Vere Browne\u2019 for his firmness and decisiveness in attempting to eliminate \u2018Fraudulent Conduct\u2019 in his subordinates. Much more than the author, he is professionally and administratively-better positioned to say, if any former Subordinates, now hold positions on the august body called the \u2018Police Service Commission (PSC).\u2019<\/p>\n

PERISHING WRATH OF VICTIMIZATION<\/p>\n

There were no conversations, neither with past, nor the \u2018actively-serving Commissioner.\u2019 Thus, the contents do not necessarily reflect his personal or official views, nor the membership of the \u2018Police and Fire Services.\u2019 Those under the \u2018Perishing Wrath of Victimization,\u2019 may so adopt. In spite of his administrative predicament, \u2018Commissioner of Police, Atlee Rodney QPM,\u2019 reading this commentary, shall be reminded of some developments within the \u2018Police Service.\u2019<\/p>\n

FIERY FLAME: TRAGIC\/UNTIMELY<\/p>\n

Likened to a spark that had ignited into a \u2018Fiery Flame,\u2019 the deaths of; (i) \u2018Corporal Clifton Common; and (ii) Senior Sergeant John Pelle,\u2019 have sparked a flame of disdain. Such became a debate that had turned into an unextinguishable inferno. The demise visited upon these two gentlemanly officers, one \u2018Tragically and Untimely,\u2019 while the other expectedly, continue to provoke internal organizational discussions among demoralized and demotivated rank-and-file members.<\/p>\n

BRUTAL ATTACK<\/p>\n

When his \u2018Earthly Demise\u2019 visited upon one of the subordinates \u2018Commissioner of Police Atlee Rodney QPM,\u2019 \u2018Corporal Clifton Common,\u2019\u00a0 it resulted from unexpected \u2018Brutal Attack\u2019 on his person. This, as reported, occurred at one of the \u2018Police Detention Cells\u2019 at St. John\u2019s Police Station (SJPS).\u2019 Even as it may have been to his knowledge that a detainee, reasonably considered a suspected mentally-deranged male, he was helplessly overwhelmed by the sudden rage and violence.<\/p>\n

CALLS OF NATURE – MAD DETAINEE<\/p>\n

He reportedly sought to allow for the suspected detainee to respond to\u00a0 \u2018Calls of Nature.\u2019 ,Thus, upon opening the metal door, he was alleged to have been; (a) \u2018Violently flattered to the floor, (b) Repeatedly trampled upon; and (c)\u00a0 Mercilessly pummeled into unconsciousness.\u2019 Left with blood profusely flowing from his mouth; running from his nose and oozing from his ears, whether or not \u2018Holy,\u2019 he gave up the \u2018Ghost.\u2019 Unresponsive and defenceless, the suspected \u2018Mad Detainee,\u2019 snuffed out the life of \u2018Corporal Clifton Common\u2019 [Observer Media; February 13, 2021].<\/p>\n

RANKS OF RESPECTABILITY<\/p>\n

Instructively, with a tenure of some 7-decades, both \u2018Corporal Clifton Common (29-years) and Senior Sergeant John Pelle (43-years),\u2019 may have been provided functional opportunities to be elevated to \u2018Ranks of Respectability.\u2019 Incidentally, they have been transitioned with broken hearts. Both have silently cried. They have been subjected to horrible organizational treatment. The only person to have seen their weeping was\u00a0 the \u2018Lord.\u2019 \u00a0Firstly, \u2018He\u2019 beckoned the \u2018Corporal,\u2019 then the \u2018Senior Sergeant,\u2019 Said the \u2018Lord; \u2018\u2026Clifton and John, this world is not your home.\u2019<\/p>\n

COME HOME, JOHN: AN ASSURING VOICE<\/p>\n

The \u2018Lord\u2019 saw apathy and animosity, as guiding the behavior of the membership of the \u2018Police Service Commission (PSC). He saw hearts filled with evil and saturated with vengeance. The \u2018Lord\u2019 said; \u2018Though wicked men and evil women have stood in the way of progress; you shall leave them in their iniquities.\u2019 Guiding the thoughts of \u2018John Pelle\u2019 of a better place where there was no pain or sorrow, \u2018an Assuring Voice\u2019 was heard saying; \u2018\u2026In my Father\u2019s House, are many mansions; \u2026My Father wants you to be with \u2018Him:\u2019 \u2026He has prepared a room for you; \u2026Come home, John; \u2026Come home\u2019 [KJV: John: 14: 1-3]. Then death visited upon \u2018John Pelle.\u2019 His breath, was finally taken away. He gave up the ghost\u2019 [ANR: January 7, 2024].<\/p>\n

GOD-FATHERISM \u2013 GOD-MOTHERISM<\/p>\n

The deceased, \u2018John Pelle\u2019s 43-years\u2019 of faithful service in the \u2018Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda (RPFAB),\u2019 was second to none. Though not necessarily in a qualitative and proficient sense, it had eclipsed the \u201839-Service years of \u2018Sir Wright Fitzhenly George 60: KCN, MVO, QPM, CPM.\u2019 While he achieved 3-lowly-ranks of; (i) \u2018Corporal;\u00a0 (ii) Sergeant; and (iii) Senior Sergeant,\u2019 he had no aught against those that have victimized or discriminated against him. These ranks were neither due to \u2018God Fatherism,\u2019 nor \u2018God Motherism.\u2019<\/p>\n

ORGANIZATIONAL PLAGUES<\/p>\n

In fact, the only \u2018God-Fathers and God-Mothers,\u2019 he did not then know, were those attending his \u2018Christening.\u2019 That which he, likened to many others, had to contend with were the \u2018Organizational Plagues\u2019 of;\u2019 (a) \u2018Cronyism; (b) Nepotism; and (c) Insularity. These were abhorred influences, currently said to have been the internal practices\u00a0 within (i) The Police and Fire Services; and (ii) The Police Service Commission (PSC). These were known to have demoralized rank-and-file members. \u2019<\/p>\n

THE \u2018CCJ\u2019<\/p>\n

This was when the \u2018Spiritual Minister\u2019 announced to the congregants his parents-given \u2018Christian names; (i) \u2018John.\u2019 Had he seen the \u2018Light\u2019 then, he may not have enlisted in anything with people with the \u2018Christian names; (i) \u2018Claudette; (ii) Cosmas; and James (CCJ).\u2019 These, in the persona of former \u2018Law enforcers,\u2019 were individuals to whom \u2018deceased; (i) \u2018Raymond Kirwan; (ii) John Pelle and (iii) Clifton Common\u2019 were subordinate. At the time of their demise, the \u2018CCJ,\u2019 held membership on the \u2018Police Service Commission (PSC).\u2019<\/p>\n

BORDERING HYPOCRISY<\/p>\n

Had, \u2018Commissioner of Police, Atlee Rodney 61, QPM,\u2019 been mindful, his faithful subordinates; (i) \u2018Corporal Clifton Common 51; and (ii) Senior Sergeant John Pelle 61, may have been justly elevated at least, to the coveted rank of \u2018Inspector.\u2019 Instructively, consequent upon their tragic demise, the \u2018Commissioner\u2019 became \u2018Sentimentally Mindful.\u2019 In language \u2018Bordering Hypocrisy,\u2019 he described the former as: \u2018A very good public relations type of officer; He was very dependable and reliable\u2019 [Observer Media: February 13, 2021]. These sentiments were never matched by any incentivized rewards.<\/p>\n

FARCICAL CEREMONY:\u00a0 40 + YEARS OF SERVICE<\/p>\n

The latter, at a clearly \u2018Farcical Medal Ceremony\u2019 in commemoration of \u201840+Years of Service,\u2019 was awarded a \u2018Medal for Meritorious Service\u2019 [Real News: November 5, 2021]. Ironically, he was caused to be dressed in the \u2018No.2 Inspectorate Uniform.\u2019 This, undoubtedly, may have mislead the \u2018Governor General, His Excellency, Sir Rodney Errey Lawrence Williams GCMG, KGN, MBBS\u2019 who presented the \u2018Meritorious Medal,\u2019 believing that the recipient was an \u2018Inspector of Police.\u2019<\/p>\n

MEDAL JOSTLERS: VEXED ISSUE: VEXED QUESTIONS<\/p>\n

The membership of the \u2018Police Service Commission (PSC),\u2019 has not only been accused of demotivating and demoralizing personnel of every rank, but were also accused of depriving personnel of the \u2018Police and Fire Services\u2019 of \u2018Opportunities for Advancement.\u2019 Then there was the \u2018;Vexed Issue\u2019 of deprivation of the coveted and prestigious \u2018Queen\u2019s Police Medal (QPM).\u2019 The \u2018Vexed Questions\u2019 were; (i) \u2018What Commissioner of Police shall not have made a case for his actively-serving subordinates to be so awarded in preference to the \u2018Medal Jostlers\u2019 on the \u2018Police Service Commission (PSC)? (ii) Was the \u2018Chairman\u2019 of the \u2018PSC,\u2019 the influencer in making representation to the \u2018Deceased Queen?\u2019<\/p>\n

QUEEN\u2019S AND KING\u2019S POLICE MEDALS<\/p>\n

Speaking to \u2018Medal,\u2019 it shall be known that the \u2018Queen\u2019s Police Medal (QPM);\u2019 (i) \u2018Was duly and properly bestowed upon \u2018Retired Deputy Commissioner, James Hill QPM.\u2019 He was so accorded while on active Law enforcement service\u2019 [2004]; Then (ii) there was the historic and prestigious \u2018King\u2019s Police Medal Award,\u2019 properly and legitimately bestowed upon currently-serving member, \u2018Assistant Superintendent of Police Dale Mercury KPM.\u2019 In his \u201837-years on active Law enforcement and \u2018Aide-de-camp Services,\u2019 to \u2018Her\/His Majesty. He has demonstrated a deep commitment and devotion to duty, and has acquitted himself exceedingly well.<\/p>\n

MERITORIOUS SERVICES<\/p>\n

The bestowal speaks to \u2018Meritorious Services\u2019 to Law enforcement and Her\/His Majesty\u2019s Representative, Governor General, His Excellency Sir Rodney Errey Lawrence Williams, GCMG, KGN, MBBS.\u2019 His Excellency, may have committed two \u2018Treasonous Acts,\u2019 when seemingly, without \u2018Grace,\u2019 he may have been environmentally-influence to bestow\u00a0 two \u2018Queen\u2019s Police Medals (QPM) upon two members of the \u2018Police Service Commission (PSC),\u2019 embarrassingly, long after \u2018Her Majesty\u2019s Demise and Royal Burial\u2019 [January 5 and 7, 2023].<\/p>\n

WORTHLESS MEDAL \u2013 EMPTY SENTIMENTS<\/p>\n

The deceased, \u2018John Pelle,\u2019 recipient of a \u2018Worthless Medal\u2019 was \u2018Improperly Dressed.\u2019 Since his substantive rank was in fact a \u2018Senior Sergeant,\u2019 this is the rank he shall now be embarrassingly laid to rest. That which a \u2018Commissioner and Police Service Commission,\u2019 shall have known, was that which \u2018Sweetens Labor.\u2019 It has never been\u2019 \u2018Worthless Medals\u2019 and \u2018Empty Sentiments.\u2019 Thus, elevation to the rank of \u2018Inspector\u2019 may have been more appropriate; more rewarding and more appreciated, immediately, thereafter.<\/p>\n

SHOUT AND SING<\/p>\n

The deceased, and now, his bereaved family, loved ones, friends and colleagues, have nothing to \u2018Shout and Sing\u2019 about. It begs the fundamental question; \u2018Was it right, fair and just\u2019 that two members on the \u2018Police Service Commission (PSC,\u2019 shall have been bestowed the \u2018Queen\u2019s Police Medals (QPM),\u2019 when not being active members of the \u2018Police and Fire Services,\u2019 given their retirement, more than two decades ago?\u2019 Sir Wilfred; Papa; George Walter and Lester,\u2019 answered; \u2018Only over our dead bodies.\u2019 Incidentally, \u2018Sir James,\u2019 very much alive and alert, was not prompted to provide an answer.<\/p>\n

IMPRESSIONS: DEAD\/LIVING<\/p>\n

Taking the research outside of the \u2018Police and Fire Services,\u2019 primarily to extract \u2018Impressions on the \u2018Dead and Living,\u2019 expressing more sincerity for \u2018Senior Sergeant John Pelle,\u2019 \u2018Retired Judge, His Lordship, Justice Keith Thom\u2019 observed; \u2018\u2026He was a people, and service-oriented Police officer; \u2026He extracted no personal benefits for services rendered.\u2019 Extending the research to the \u2018Living,\u2019 likened to many other serving members, a grave injustice was reportedly done to \u2018Senior Detective, Inspector Theodore Horne.\u2019<\/p>\n

GRAVE INJUSTICE<\/p>\n

Though the \u2018Retired Justice,\u2019 has guided his observations away from injustice, he focused only on his performance. The eminent Justice observed; \u2018\u2026He appeared before the Court on several occasions; \u2026The \u00a0Court was highly impressed with the way he gave evidence; \u2026He was truthful, and under \u2018Cross Examination,\u2019 he maintained a calm composure\u2019 [January 12, 2024]. What else does the membership of the \u2018Police Service Commission\u2019 require of the competent and hard-working members of the Police and Fire Services?\u2019<\/p>\n

FINAL RESPECTS<\/p>\n

This coming \u2018Wednesday, January 31, 2024,\u2019 as the \u2018Good Lord\u2019 continues to extend mercies to the faithful members of the \u2018Police and Fire Services,\u2019 scores of colleagues shall pay their \u2018Final Respects\u2019 to a fallen colleague. This is the day that \u2018Senior Sergeant, John Pelle,\u2019 with a \u2018Service Record of 43-years,\u2019 he had served most faithfully than any individual member on the \u2018Police Service Commission. In spite of his \u2018Organizational Hell,\u2019 he found no difficulties in discharging his responsibilities, or in functioning at optimal capacity.<\/p>\n

VICTIMIZING HYPOCRITES<\/p>\n

The membership of the \u2018Police Service Commission,\u2019 will be assembled with mourners and congregants of the St. John\u2019s, Nevis Street \u2018Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA).\u2019 They may not be regarded as sympathizers, but as \u2018Victimizing Hypocrites.\u2019 They shall be remembered as being among the half-dominated membership of \u2018Police Retirees\u2019 on the \u2018Commission.\u2019 They shall also be remembered for depriving \u2018Senior Sergeant John Pelle\u2019 of opportunities to be elevated at least, to the \u2018Inspectorate Rank.\u2019<\/p>\n

EVIL PRESENCE<\/p>\n

Instead, as has been the case of many, they have left in the \u2018Police and Fire Services,\u2019 they were not sufficiently recognized, nor rewarded. Those that respected him not; acknowledged him not for his loyalty, dignity and worth; Treated him with \u2018Victimizing Contempt,\u2019 shall contend with his \u2018Spirit.\u2019 Even when his remains got under way to the \u2018St. John\u2019s Public Cemetery,\u2019 They shall be mindful not to antagonize, nor aggravate the \u2018Spirit of John Pelle.\u2019<\/p>\n

TORMENTING WRATH<\/p>\n

His spirit shall be with his family; his loved ones; his friends; his colleagues, and those that have been there for him in \u2018Grace and Truth.\u2019 There shall be more grief in the hearts of the \u2018wicked,\u2019 than of tears welling-up in their eyes. As the cortege and remains processioned from the \u2018Lord\u2019s Sanctuary\u2019 to the cemetery, they shall be cautioned that their \u2018Evil Presence\u2019 may likely provoke his \u2018Spirit\u2019 into \u2018Tormenting Wrath.\u2019 They shall repent and pray, that all evils be removed from their hearts.<\/p>\n

THE CORTEGE<\/p>\n

They shall know that though deceased, the grave shall not contain him. Called upon to part earthly companionship,\u2019 a \u2018Cortege\u2019 that shall include; (i) \u2018The Bearers- Cap and Flag-draped casket; (ii) Firing party; and (iii) Mourning Party,\u2019 those that have humiliated and victimized \u2018Senior Sergeant John Pelle,\u2019 shall be reserved seats according to their positions on the \u2018Police Service Commission \u2018(PSC),\u2019 where they shall steadfastly look at his \u2018Casket.\u2019<\/p>\n

CALL OF DUTY – CALL TO GLORY<\/p>\n

They would be playing \u2018Russian Roulet\u2019 with their own \u2018Salvation.\u2019 The \u2018Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC),\u2019 and its membership, shall be seated with full view of the open casket. Though they may sing and rejoice over his \u2018Call to Glory,\u2019 there will be no acknowledgement from the hypocrites. They shall remember; (a) \u2018John Pelle\u2019s allegiance and loyalty; (b) His \u2018Call of Duty;\u2019 and (b) His Commitment.\u2019 \u00a0His dedication and devotion to duty with a \u2018Service Record of 43-years-1981-2024,\u2019 speak volume. Should the membership continue to receive the \u2018Lord\u2019s Blessings\u2019 with evilness in their hearts?\u2019<\/p>\n

RAPID PROMOTION<\/p>\n

His 43-year-tenure, in a dual-capacity, was to be of service to the nation and people. Firstly, as; (i) \u2018A faithful Law enforcer; and (ii) A dedicated Immigration officer.\u2019 Even as he remained steadfast in his desire to serve, there has been little \u2018Opportunities for Advancement.\u2019 That which may have been denied to him, had been availed of by his superiors. He had seen colleagues catapulted to, and above the rank of \u2018Inspectors.\u2019 The case of \u2018Rapid Promotion,\u2019 for \u2018Commissioner of Police, Atlee Rodney QPM,\u2019 makes the point.<\/p>\n

DEPRIVED AND DENIED<\/p>\n

It has shown that while he was obviously \u2018Deprived or Denied, of opportunities for his personal advancement through the ranks, personnel with less service, were provided opportunities for their elevation to higher ranks. Instructively, while \u2018Commissioner of Police, Atlee Rodney QPM\u2019 was elevated from; (i) \u2018The Inspectorate rank to; (ii) \u2018Superintendent; then to (iii) Deputy Commissioner; then when the\u00a0 Police Service Commission (PSC) ended the Law enforcement career of then \u2018Commissioner of Police, Wendell Robinson,\u2019 he was elevated; (iv) To the rank of Commissioner of Police\u2019[November 25, 2019].<\/p>\n

MISFORTUNE v \u00a0FORTUNE<\/p>\n

Whether or not it was the \u2018Misfortune\u2019 of the then embattled \u2018Commissioner,\u2019 well positioned, and environmentally-favored, it became the \u2018Fortune\u2019 of \u2018Commissioner of Police, Atlee Rodney QPM.\u2019 Had \u2018Senior Sergeant, John Pelle 61,\u2019 been treated differently, then the \u2018Service Records\u2019 may have shown comparative progress as his colleagues; (i) \u2018Commissioner\u00a0 Atlee Rodney QPM, 61: (ii) Deputy Commissioner Albert Wade QPM, 61: and (iii) Deputy Commissioner Everton Jeffers 61.\u2019<\/p>\n

ENVIRONMENTALLY FAVORED<\/p>\n

Before these particular ranks, appeared to have been an identifiable few that may have been \u2018Environmentally Favored,\u2019 than for their leadership or managerial skills and professional competence. In spite of retarded progress, the unfortunate \u2018John Pelle, appeared strengthened by his \u2018Sufferings and Perseverance.\u2019 The conscience of the membership of the \u2018Police Service Commissions shall cause them embarrassing guilt.<\/p>\n

ORGANIZATIONAL MISERIES<\/p>\n

Looked at from the top-heavy positions,\u2019 it revealed astonishing service information.\u2019 The official records shall show that\u00a0 \u2018John Pelle\u2019 had served for just over \u20184-decades.\u2019 He had earned three promotions from; (i) \u2018Constable to Corporal; then (ii) To Sergeant; and finally, to \u2018Senior Sergeant.\u2019 There onward, he has been kept in \u2018Organizational Miseries.\u2019 The environmentally-selected members on the \u2018Police Service Commission, appeared to have completely forgotten him.<\/p>\n

STEELY RESOLVE<\/p>\n

That which appeared to have been exacted upon \u2018John Pelle,\u2019 might be seen from the progress made by\u00a0 other rank-and-file members with less Service than himself. The personnel referred hereunder, had a \u2018Longevity of Service,\u2019 less than that of of\u00a0 Senior Sergeant John Pelle 61.\u2019 Without \u00a0apathy, animosity and enmity toward those that fortuitously became his superiors, a short list has shown members with no exceptional or greater knowledge\u2019 over him. Though \u2018Commissioner of Police, Atlee Rodney QPM\u2019 has rejected media suggestion that these Services were \u2018rife with sexual harassment,\u2019 while it may not necessarily have reached alarming proportion, it was to official knowledge<\/p>\n

TARNISHED IMAGE- EMOTIONAL DISTRESS<\/p>\n

There was said to have been tarnished image by certain acts bordering criminality. Though traumatized females were reportedly transferred to different commands, these have reportedly left some three female members traumatized. Compounding these reports, has been the elevation of certain personnel to ranks beyond their professional competencies. These have reportedly caused \u2018Emotional Distress\u2019 to the more eligible, competent and deeply committed members.<\/p>\n

PARADIGM SHIFT<\/p>\n

Senior Sergeant John Pelle,\u2019\u00a0 would have heard the cries of families, loved ones and friends and members of the wider society. Undoubtedly, one such cry may have been; (i) \u2018Justice for the \u2018reckless Police shootings; and (ii) Extrajudicial, cold-blooded killings of unarmed citizens. Such will have included; \u2018Mannie James 45\u2019 [July 31, 2023]. If these speak not to a \u2018Police Service\u2019 desperately begging for a \u2018Paradigm Shift\u2019 in leadership, management, focus, purpose and direction, then it begs the fundamental question; \u2018Just what else is needed?\u2019<\/p>\n

WEARIED INTO ABSENTEEISM<\/p>\n

Apparently, so demotivated and demoralized, the \u2018working-spirit\u2019 of the organizational membership have been \u2018Wearied into Absenteeism.\u2019 Their energies have been reportedly sapped, and said to have been in dire \u2018Need of Revitalization.\u2019 Seemingly finding escape, depressed personnel have been reportedly seen at road-side bars attempting to drown their frustration in spiritous beverages. Not infrequently, walking gait was said to have been \u2018wobbly,\u2019 as they attempt to make their way back to their vehicles.<\/p>\n

LOW PRODUCTIVITY<\/p>\n

Law enforcement agencies shall not be seen as lacking the \u2018Spirit of Perseverance.\u2019 Consequently, the welfare of the entire membership shall not be perceived to have been grossly or gravely neglected. Personnel, were said to have seen discriminatory practices being perpetrated against certain rank-and-file members by the\u00a0 \u2018Police Service Commission (PSC).\u2019\u00a0 As every leader, manager and supervisor shall know, such practices in workplaces, had often resulted in \u2018Low Productivity\u2019 and serious indiscipline.<\/p>\n

ORGANIZATIONAL HELL<\/p>\n

As it affects the tenure\u00a0 of \u2018 \u2018Senior Sergeant John Pelle,\u2019 he may have seen \u2018\u2026The good; \u2026The bad; The ugly; and \u2026The indifferent.\u2019 In later years, he may have seen the membership of the \u2018Police and Fire Services,\u2019 deeply troubled by; (a) \u2018Discrimination; (b) Victimization; and (c) Despondency.\u2019 In spite of his \u2018Organizational Hell,\u2019 he has served the nation with a passion. He has not only performed his assigned or detailed duties exceedingly well, but also with honesty and integrity. If it were not so, he may not have served in these Services for \u201843-years\u2019 [October 27, 1980],<\/p>\n

ENVIRONMENTAL EXPLOITATION<\/p>\n

His dedication to duty would only be unmatched or unparallel by the new \u2018Mandatory\u2019 age of retirement of 65-years.\u2019 Instructively, privilege information revealed that when he stood against \u2018Environmental Exploitation,\u2019 he reportedly faced mounting organizational horrors. From intimate knowledge and practical enforcement of law, he refused to be influenced or persuaded to flout law to do special favors.<\/p>\n

As a warning, their hearts shall palpitate, while their bodies shall vibrate when the rank \u2018Senior Sergeant,\u2019 was called. They shall tremble and fall to their knees, inaudibly whispering to themselves, that which they shall see as the perpetration of a \u2018Punishable Evil\u2019 against \u2018John Pelle.\u2019<\/p>\n

HANGING IN<\/p>\n

The membership of both the \u2018Police and Fire Services,\u2019 have become disgruntled, dissatisfied and dejected.\u2019 But for their livelihood, the overwhelming majority, were just \u2018Hanging In.\u2019 All know that the \u2018Job Market\u2019 calls for \u2018mid-way to high qualifications.\u2019 Most were not so equipped. Their problems, however, were not about that market. They were concerned about the environmentally- affiliated and appointed members of the constitutional body called the \u2018Police Service Commission (PSC).\u2019<\/p>\n

DISAPPOINTED AND JADED<\/p>\n

The personnel appeared to have been \u2018Disappointed and Jaded\u2019 over their upward mobility within the rank structure of the vital services to the nation.
