The Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne, will pay an official visit to China from January 22 to 28 at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning announced on Friday.<\/p>

Detailing Browne’s visit at a regular press briefing, Mao said President Xi Jinping will meet with Prime Minister Browne, adding that Premier Li Qiang will hold talks with him, and they will attend a signing ceremony of cooperation documents.<\/p>\n

Chairman of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee Zhao Leji will also hold talks with Browne, Mao added.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The two sides will have an in-depth exchange of views on bilateral relations and issues of common concern, jointly planning a blueprint for the future development of China-Antigua and Barbuda relations, she said, adding that Browne will also visit China’s Zhejiang Province and Shanghai.<\/p>

Over the years, bilateral relations have made great progress, becoming a model for countries to achieve mutual respect, equal treatment, mutual benefit and common development, she said.<\/p>\n

Noting that 2023 marked the 40th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations, Mao expressed her hope that the visit is expected to further enhance political mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation in various areas, consolidate the traditional friendship between the two countries and push bilateral relations to a new level.<\/p>
