The Antigua and Barbuda Sales Tax (ABST) will be reinstated on tours, excursions, and attractions, effective June 1, 2024, as per the Inland Revenue Department (IRD).<\/p>

Commissioner Ralph Warner clarified that the ABST Act never exempted these activities, despite a 2007 deferral. Suppliers exceeding the $300,000 annual registration threshold must register for ABST.<\/p>\n

Reservations made after January 2, 2024, for activities postmarked June 1, 2024, will incur a 17% ABST charge, following the Cabinet’s decision on October 18, 2023.<\/p>
