APUA announced today that as a result of a motor vehicle accident on All Saints Road which occurred on Sunday<\/g> August 26th<\/sup>, 2018, the APUA Telecoms infrastructure responsible for the transmission of landline and internet services was destroyed. <\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

This caused an immediate disruption in telecommunication services to customers hosted by this cabinet. Approximately 400 subscribers have been affected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given the severity of the damage to the cabinet and its contents, a replacement unit is currently being installed and a number of underground telephone cables are manually being replaced and reconnected in manholes and overhead. <\/p>

The APUA Telecommunications Business Unit said that the restoration of services will be a gradual process and subscribers can expect restoration within the coming days.\u00a0<\/p>

Affected are customers residing and operating in sections of Cashew Hill, American Road, All Saints Road and Belmont. Work<\/g> is underway to restore telecoms services in the coming days.<\/p>\n
