The Government of Antigua and Barbuda expresses its condolences to the parents, family members, friends and fans of RICARDO DRUE on his sudden passing.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ricardo Drue was clearly an emerging talent who commanded attention, applause and appreciation throughout the country of his birth, Antigua and Barbuda, and the wider Caribbean<\/span><\/span>, including <\/span><\/span>his mother\u2019s native Trinidad and Tobago.<\/span><\/span> He was one of the most talented.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

\u201c<\/span><\/span>The youth and adults of Antigua and Barbuda warmed<\/span><\/span>–<\/span><\/span>up to this outstanding talent<\/span><\/span>,\u201d t<\/span><\/span>he<\/span><\/span> Prime Minister noted, \u201c<\/span><\/span>and he had a future that was surely to be extraordinary<\/span><\/span>. The Government stands in solidarity with his family, friends and fans,<\/span><\/span>\u201d P.M. Browne remarked. <\/span><\/span><\/p>

The loss of this youthful talent is a significant reduction in the stock of Soca artistes that have reached to the very top of their competition. Ricardo Drue was so highly regarded that his death robs Soca of a very significant voice.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission enrolled him as a Cultural Ambassador, with the approval of the Cabinet, such that he provided support in the promotion of festivals in Antigua and Ba<\/span><\/span>rbuda. He will surely be missed since he was loved and embraced by all.<\/span><\/span><\/p>
