(CMC) \u2013 The Caribbean continued to be jolted by earthquakes in recent days with the latest occurring on Wednesday with a 4.4 magnitude tremor affecting at least three islands in the region.<\/p>

The Seismic Research Centre (SRC) of the University of the West Indies said that the quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres (km).<\/p>\n

It was felt 14 km west of Bridgetown in Barbados, 165 km east of Kingstown in St Vincent and the Grenadines and 172 km south east of Castries, the St Lucian capital.<\/p>

The SRC said that there were no immediate reports of injuries and damages.<\/p>

Wednesday\u2019s quake followed Tuesday\u2019s tremor with a magnitude of 3.6 that was felt 117 km east south east of Point-\u00e0-Pitre in the French island of Guadeloupe, 135 km east south east of St John\u2019s Antigua and 172 km east south east of Brades in the British Overseas Territory of Montserrat.<\/p>\n

Last weekend, several earthquakes were reported in the Caribbean with the strongest having a magnitude of 6.0 recorded northeast of Guadeloupe.<\/p>
