Global Influencers Corrupt The Caribbean<\/p>

At the change of Government or elections which are close, the same old faces reappear on the scene, influencing the new or desperate government officials and their aides to reopen the corruption on hold during their Opposition days.<\/p>\n

As the beginning of the tourist season approaches, traveling salesmen and snake oil promoters have begun arriving in the Caribbean islands, selling us our own natural resources, in what is now a safe Luxury Zone, one of the few remaining in a world interrupted by war.<\/p>

\"\"<\/div>\n

The chain of beautiful islands affords safety and privacy in the many island coves, which harbour expensive yachts with their following yachts for helicopter, toys and staff sailors.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

These unnamed high-end visitors arrive on their private jets, at their chosen time of day or night when they are unlikely to be recognized, and with some pre-clearance of Immigration and Customs, procedures are simplified to enable swift clearances in their transfer to their helicopter or executive vehicles, and on to their yachts in short order.<\/p>\n

Around the world, as this high-end industry becomes more protection oriented, Caribbean Service Providers are urged to upgrade the procedures for handling this super demanding sector of our Tourism industry. Bearing in mind that the principals and owners of Fortune Five Hundred Companies and their major owners and shareholders own a large sector of the Private Aviation industry, and Antigua & Barbuda pioneered the FBO business in the Eastern Caribbean, it is befitting that Antigua should also establish an education sector for the development of Aviation education applicable to our region.<\/p>

A consciousness is lacking in the important role which the Caribbean plays in the marketplace of safe luxury locations for the one percent of the wealthy, the famous and royalty. Moreover, the peaceful safety of our shores and bays do not form part of our local costing, but instead forms part of the markup of the International Service Providers who market our area. In other words we need to consciously include in our packages and services a cost for our natural resources including peaceful and safe enjoyment.<\/p>\n

Next Level development must shun the corruption being sold to our leaders who commit to those who arrive to bribe, once their cut is assured.
\nNext Level development must shun giving away our lands to foreign enterprise without local shareholding.<\/p>

Next Level development must shun those developers who seek to divide our Caribbean by playing leader against leader.<\/p>

Next Level,development must know the value of our natural resources and cost them for the benefit of our people.<\/p>\n

Next Level development invests in its people and monitors Foreigners investment in our islands.<\/p>\n
