The most recent reports of robberies occurred on Sunday, November 19 \u2013 after two similar incidents were reported on Friday, November 17.CLICK HERE TO JOING THE WHATS APP GROUP<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

It is alleged that a 68-year-old man, the proprietor of the Pond View Superette in Old Road, was the victim of robbers who assaulted him and took his cash pan.<\/p>

He reported the incident, which took place at about 4:30 a.m., to the\u00a0Johnsons Point Police Station.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Allegedly, the man and his wife had gone to open their shop and, while in the process, they saw an unknown man push open the shop door, which had been closed but not locked.<\/p>\n

The intruder, who is described as about 6\u20194\u201d in height, is of a slim build and a brown complexion and was dressed in a pair of black pants and a red hoodie at the time.<\/p>

He reportedly pointed what appeared to be a black-handled handgun with a spin barrel at them and asked, \u201cWhere\u2019s the money?\u201d<\/p>\n

The shop owner then grabbed onto the assailant\u2019s hand and tried to\u00a0wrestle the gun away from him.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Further reports are that, at this point, another man entered the shop and hit the owner on the back of the head with a gun; and, as a result, the victim surrendered.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The other assailant is described as being 5\u20194\u201d in height, bow-legged, brown in complexion, and was wearing dark-coloured clothing.<\/p>\n

After the assailants demanded money, the man\u2019s wife reportedly told them that it was in the car and then began to scream.<\/p>\n

Reports say the robbers subsequently took the cash pan, containing $300, and an undisclosed sum of coins from a cash register at the shop\u2019s entrance.<\/p>\n

The duo then fled in an eastern direction, in a silver car that had been parked in close proximity to the shop.<\/p>\n

A search was carried out in the surrounding areas for the assailants and the stolen money but without success.<\/p>\n
