Sandals Grande Antigua has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the island\u2019s communities through health awareness and other key platforms.<\/p>

To further amplify this commitment the Luxury Included\u00ae resort company has partnered for a third consecutive year with the CIBC FirstCaribbean\u2019s Walk for the Cure – \u201cThe Kathleen Parker Glow Edition\u201d \u2013 as a platinum sponsor. Antigua & Barbuda is one of several islands in the English and Dutch Caribbean to host the walk and Sandals has committed to supporting each territory\u2019s undertaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walk Coordinator, Mrs. Julia Joseph commended Sandals Resorts\u2019 regional support, citing it as critical for Caribbean companies to partner on such levels that truly impact and affect Caribbean lives.<\/p>

Joseph says Antigua will be walking on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. and the cause has partnered with Breast Friends and The Oncology Department of Mount St. John\u2019s to which it will be donating all of the funds raised from this year\u2019s walk to aid in their life-changing and life-saving work.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In 2017 the walk raised EC$47,500 and was considered the largest intake in its history in Antigua. These funds, the bank says, were donated to the same two organisation it is again supporting in 2018, in support of their continuing work with cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of its support Sandals Grande has injected thousands of dollars into the organisation of the activity and will have at least 20 team members participating in the walk on October 6.<\/p>

General Manager Mr. Matthew Cornall, an athlete at heart, in fully committing the Resort\u2019s support, said, the fight against breast cancer and protection of women\u2019s health will always be an undertaking of focus for Sandals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is important to us all. We will continue to push forward until we get to a point of guaranteed survival for our mothers, daughters and sisters diagnosed with breast cancer,\u201d Cornall said. <\/p>

CIBC has revealed that its most outstanding walker, flagbearer and long-serving employee, Katheleen Parker, recently lost her battle with breast cancer resulting in its dedication of this year\u2019s undertaking to her.<\/p>
