The Go<\/span><\/span>vernment of Antigua and Barbuda through the <\/span><\/span>Ministry of Education, Sport and Creative Industries in partnership with The University of the West Indies <\/span><\/span>(UWI) <\/span><\/span>Five Islands Campus will <\/span><\/span>now <\/span><\/span>host <\/span><\/span>its<\/span><\/span> town hall meeting on Thursda<\/span><\/span>y <\/span><\/span>November 23<\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span>2023,<\/span><\/span> at 7:00 p.m. <\/span><\/span>at The UWI Five Islands Campus to update the general public on the expansion of the campus and the relocation of the Five Islands Primary School.<\/span><\/span> The town hall was rescheduled due to the passage of Hurricane Tammy in October. <\/span><\/span><\/p>

The town hall meeting will provide an opportunity for members of the<\/span><\/span> Five Islands community and the general<\/span><\/span> public to learn more about the expansion plans, ask questions, and share their feedback. Representatives from the Ministry of Education, Sport and Creative Industries and The University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus will be on hand to answer questions and provide information.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n

The expansion of The University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus <\/span><\/span>and t<\/span><\/span>he relocation of the Five Islands Primary School <\/span><\/span>are<\/span><\/span>major<\/span><\/span> projects<\/span><\/span> that will have a significant impact on the <\/span><\/span>Five Islands <\/span><\/span>community<\/span><\/span> as well as Antigua and Barbuda<\/span><\/span>. The expansion <\/span><\/span>of The UWI <\/span><\/span>will include the construction of new academic and administrative buildings, student housing, and sports and recreation facilities<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span> while the <\/span><\/span>new school will be located on a nearby property and will feature state-of-the-art <\/span><\/span>teaching and learning <\/span><\/span>facilities.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The town hall meeting is an important opportunity for members of the <\/span><\/span>community and general <\/span><\/span>public to get involved and learn more about these important projects<\/span><\/span> as well as <\/span><\/span>share their feedback.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
