With the increase in rainfall over the past few weeks, it is important to make sure that you adhere to these guidelines to prevent the spread of Dengue Fever.<\/p>\n

Guidelines for Controlling Mosquitoes at Fisheries Complexes and Fish Landing Sites – Prevent the spread of Dengue and Chikungunya.<\/p>

Small Boats
\nFor small inactive boats without a center console, please turn over your boats.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

For small inactive boats with center consoles, pleace cover with trapaulin or any other suitable cover; pull cover tightly to prevent it from collecting water.
\nFor small active vessels, please bail out water from your boat every
\nother day.<\/p>\n

Large Boats
\nFor large inactive boats on land, ensure that all boat hatches are closed to prevent water from entering the blige.<\/p>

Ensure that all deck drains (scuppers) are clear to prevent the accumulation of water on the deck.<\/p>\n

For large active boats in the water, please make sure to clear bilge water on a regular basis.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

For boats using tires as fenders or as adding for dry docking, I holes in the tires to allow water to drain freely. Environment<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Please be aware of your surroundings and make sure that containers are : covered, or turned over when not in use or filled with drainage holes.<\/p>\n

Keep your enviroment clean lie. free from bushes, litter and garbagel; these serve as habitats for mosquitoes and other vectors.<\/p>\n

In cases where there are high levels of adult mosquitoes, please contact the Central Board of Health or Fisheries Division.<\/p>\n
