REAL NEWS: Alex Browne, the United Progressive Party (UPP) caretaker for St. Phillip\u2019s North, is expressing frustration about the condition of the roads in the constituency.<\/p>

Speaking specifically to Parsons Mall, Browne describes the road network as a disaster. He says the surfaces were bad before the recent rains, but now they are in an even worse state.<\/p>\n

He acknowledges that the area is a fairly new development that has been progressing nicely, but the roads have never been paved.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Accordingly, Browne says that not even vehicles can maneuver on the roads; and he recounts being told by a motorist that he lost his bumper while driving in the area.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Residents, he says, have to be placing plastic bags on their feet to prevent their shoes being mired in the mud.<\/p>\n

The area, Browne adds, is very hilly; therefore, when it rains and the water and dirt wash down onto the already bad roads, it creates a disaster area.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The UPP caretaker is making an appeal to Minister of Works Maria Browne to move earnestly to have these roads repaired.<\/p>\n

Browne says there are other roads in the constituency also in urgent need of repair, including in the village of Seatons. And, according to
\nthe caretaker, the people in that community are suffering terribly.<\/p>

Meanwhile, Browne says that another concern is the overgrown bushes all over the constituency, especially in the Newfield area.<\/p>

Due to the Government\u2019s failure to pay the contractors, Browne says, they have not been doing their best to keep the sides of the roads cleaned.<\/p>\n
