Dear Editor,<\/p>

I wrote to you guys about getting some information about work permit application for a person seeking citizenship…<\/p>\n

I have applied for citizenship, where all my documents have been submitted in April 2023.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

I went to immigration on October 18th 2023, to get more time, the (normal procedure) 3 months.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Only to be told by the officer that, “she saw I have applied for citizenship and all my documents have been submitted, but I need to go to the Labour department and apply for a work permit in order for my status to be continued or something along the line.<\/p>\n

But in all I must have a work permit stamp I’m my passport so my process can be submitted to the passport office.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

This has been over a year now that the government had announced no work permit application for persons who have been granted citizenship or temporary residency.<\/p>\n

Yet we are being ask to go get a work permit.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

This is so confusing and I will like to get some clarity, the government is saying one thing yet when persons go to the immigration department we are being told something totally different.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

I need some answers and clarification on this matter if you guys can please.<\/p>\n
