The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency, in collaboration with the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), has recently undertaken a series of deportation flights to Cuba, Haiti, and Jamaica.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

These flights have encompassed both single adults and family units.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, ICE has carried out deportations of individuals from various other countries, such as Angola, Central America, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela, as part of routine removal operations spanning the hemisphere and across the globe.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Since May 2023, ICE DHS has successfully repatriated or returned more than 300,000 individuals, including over 45,000 family members, to their respective home countries. It’s important to note that ICE emphasizes the lawful basis for individuals to remain in the United States, aligning with US legal requirements.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

ICE has underscored that all individuals subject to removal have undergone a screening process to address protection concerns.<\/p>\n

This policy is applied consistently to noncitizens of any nationality, ensuring that the processing, transfer, and deportation of single adults, family units, and other removable individuals are conducted in an organized and humane manner.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Noncitizens placed in removal proceedings are afforded their due process rights by immigration judges operating within the immigration courts, which are administered by the Justice Department’s Executive Office for Immigration Review.<\/p>\n

However, ICE has clarified that for reasons of operational security, it will not confirm or discuss forthcoming or pending transportation operations.<\/p>

ICE’s Air Operations plays a pivotal role in the transportation and removal of noncitizens, including family units, employing both commercial airlines and chartered flights in support of ICE field offices and other DHS initiatives.<\/p>

During the fiscal year 2022, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations executed 72,177 deportations to more than 150 countries across the globe.<\/p>\n
