The businessman who was involved in a knife attack at the St. John\u2019s Craft Market, which saw him placed on remand at His Majesty\u2019s
\nPrison, has been granted bail in the High Court.<\/p>

Marc Antony Copland\u2019s attorney, Wayne Benjamin Marsh, made an application before a judge on his behalf.<\/p>\n

As a result, the 28-year-old Liberta resident was granted bail in the sum of $30,000 with a cash deposit of $5,000.<\/p>

\"\"<\/div>\n

The High Court judge outlined a number of conditions for Copland\u2019s
\nbail, including surrender of his passport and reporting to the Liberta
\nPolice Station three times weekly.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Copland, who is a tailor by profession and runs a stall in the Craft
\nMarket, is charged with wounding with intent to murder and
\nwounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
\nReports say that on October 12, at about 1:30 p.m., a feud between
\nCopland, Kobe Stevens, and Stevens\u2019 girlfriend, Malia Morton,
\nescalated into an incident that ended up with the couple being taken
\nto the hospital.<\/p>\n

Further reports say the pair was walking in the Craft Market when
\nthey were attacked by Copland, who allegedly wielded a sharp
\nobject wrapped in a cloth,\u00a0which resulted in them sustaining
\nmultiple injuries to their faces.<\/p>

They were transported to the hospital for medical treatment and
\ndoctors there notified the Police of the incident.<\/p>\n

When the police detained Copland, he told them the two victims had
\nfollowed him from Corn Alley to the Craft Market and attempted to
\nattack him in his business place.<\/p>

According to him, he was forced to defend himself by using a knife that he keeps in his tailor shop.<\/p>

He reportedly later handed over the weapon to the Police.<\/p>\n
